these last couple days have been absolutely ordinary, yet i have never felt such a joy just to be living life. i have been taking delight in every conversation or circumstance. at times like these it seems like God is really guiding my footsteps and it helps me know that maybe i really am doing what he wants of me at this time. what a great feeling.

also i have never missed anyone as much as i do right now.

i hope your life feels as nice as mine right now.

Dimple

Check out the cuteness I stumbled across yesterday while I was photographing in the woods. Dimple, everyone. Everyone, Dimple. Janelle and I took him to the vet right after we found him. He has a little eye infection and upper respiratory infection, which I got anitbiotics for. He was a little fiesty at first, but now that he has had a little more time to adjust to life outside the thicket he has calmed down a lot. I really wish I could commit to keep him right now, but unfortunately there are a number of iffy factors. Really what I hope is that I can find a wonderful long-term home for him.

So I completed my first installment for my digital imaging final project. Eventually, it will be a series of images all somewhat similar to this first one, but hopefully I will learn a little each time I shoot and the last one I do will be a lot better than the first. We had a lot of fun making this. A big thanks to everyone who participated.

In other news, my apartment hunt is going well. I viewed a place today that would be perfect, we are turning in an application tomorrow, so cross your fingers. I really am ready for this to be over and to know where we're gonna be living next year. Here's the link i think.

Happy Day To You

This is a little bit of older work I did. These were my submissions for the SCAD Silverworks brochure, essentially a showcase of photographic work from SCAD students. I was fortunate enough to have one of my pieces selected. :)

The brochure will be published in the Fall. All three images were selected for the Silver and Ink Exhibition which was a few weeks back. It feels like photography is taking me somewhere, and that is a pretty good feeling.

I'm working right now on my final portfolios for Contemporary Landscape and Digital Imaging so I'll get some of those images up when i'm finished.
See You Later

My junior year of college is coming to a close in about 3 1/2 weeks. That seems pretty crazy to me. The once distant future seems to be approaching faster and faster and I can't really see what is coming. For some reason I've never dealt very well with change.

I don't normally embrace change. I hate having to separate from friends and family, because I'm not very good at long distance communication. I'm hoping this little blog might help with that.

Lately, however, I am more than ready for a change. I feel strongly that the main reason God directed me to Savannah was to bring me and Janelle together. Of course I have learned a lot here at school and I have really enjoyed my time here, but I do not believe that this is where I am meant to stay and I am terribly excited to know what is in store for us.

Hope you have a great week.

So this is where we pick up the story. Christopher has escaped his windowless cell in Maguda, only to fall into the disgruntled arms of the Soviet philanthropists. Here he is forced to take panoramic images of the savannah. In the meantime he waits, plotting his next moves.
